“ We had dinner at Sheikh Shawarma yesterday and ya Allah, everything was seriously sedap nak mampuih! We ordered quite a few things and every single one exceeded expectations. Here’s the breakdown: 1. Shish Tawook Rice The chicken was juicy, grilled perfectly with a nice char, and packed with flavour. The marinade had a smoky, slightly tangy taste that paired so well with the fluffy, fragrant rice. Each bite was rich and satisfying without being heavy. Lepas makan, rasa nak order lagi satu! 2. Kebab Beef Rice This one was the surprise favourite — the beef was tender and juicy with that deep, grilled smokiness. You can taste the spices but it’s not overpowering. The rice had a buttery undertone that made everything even more delicious. A really solid, hearty dish. 3. Beef Shawarma Ughhh this was legendary. The beef was thinly sliced, super tender, and the seasoning was spot on. It had that perfect balance of salty, savory, and just a hint of sweetness. Wrapped up nicely and dripping with their house-made sauces — honestly, I can’t believe we don’t have to go all the way to Bukit Bintang anymore. Setia Alam pun ada dah! 4. Fries (ordered by our son, Sheikh Saeef) Golden, crispy… But what took it to the next level? THE SAUCES. The chilli sauce had a nice kick, but the garlic sauce… that’s the real MVP. Creamy, garlicky, and addictive. Sheikh Saeef enjoyed every bite, and so did we! 5. Mango + Milk Drink Uishh this one was thick, creamy, and full of mango flavour! You can tell they use real mango, bukan yang cair-cair or too sweet. The milk blends it perfectly, making it rich and refreshing at the same time. Rasa macam dessert in a cup! BONUS: Garlic Sauce I don’t usually rave about sauces, but this deserves its own spotlight. This garlic sauce is art. Creamy, flavorful, and just the right balance of garlicky richness without being too strong. It goes well with everything — chicken, beef, fries, even rice! Seriously, kalau boleh beli by the bottle, I would! ⸻ Verdict: Sheikh Shawarma is a hidden gem in Setia Alam. Everything is full of flavour, portions are generous, prices are reasonable, and that garlic sauce should win an award. Definitely coming back — again and again! ”
